How an article is made
Research Desk articles are drafted with AI assistance under this standard, checked against the cited primary sources, and edited by Zed Truong before publication.
Facts come from the primary record
- Reported facts are verified through a first-party record: the company, issuer, or regulator, a public filing, or an official press release. For an AI release, that is the provider's own announcement, documentation, release notes, system card, or help-center record.
- A secondary outlet may surface a story, but it is never the sole source. The desk finds and cites the primary record before publishing.
- The original source records go in the article's source list, so a reader can check each fact against the document it came from.
What clears the bar
- The desk publishes only when a story has a concrete commercial real estate workflow, control, market, or capital implication. A funding round alone does not qualify without a credible operating consequence.
- It does not publish rumors, benchmark-only claims with no operating consequence, superficial interface changes, or unconfirmed talks.
- Market-structure news about a competing CRE software or AI platform, such as an acquisition, merger, shutdown, or comparable capital event, is covered. Competitor promotion, such as launches, features, partnerships, and awards, is not.
Original reporting, not reposts
- A brief is original PSV reporting and operator analysis, with its own headline, dek, and analysis.
- The desk does not reproduce a publisher's copy, screenshots, article structure, or paywalled reporting.
Claims, facts, and interpretation kept apart
- Provider claims, reported facts, and PSV's interpretation are separated in the prose, so it is clear which is which.
- A benchmark claim is never converted into a commercial real estate performance claim.
- An article never says PSV tested a company, product, or release unless a reproducible test was actually run.
- No article promises savings, margin expansion, speed, accuracy, rankings, ROI, or investment outcomes.
- AI providers are mentioned factually, without affiliate language or product calls to action.
What every article gives the reader
- A direct answer up front, then the verified facts with their citations.
- The commercial real estate operator read: which workflow, control, or decision the story touches.
- A practical test or due-diligence plan, naming the inputs, the output, the reviewer, and the approval gate.
- The decisions that remain human-approved. Consequential decisions stay with people.
Real photographs, credited
- Every article leads with a real photograph, and the image is credited. For a story about a company, asset, deal, or official action, it is the photograph the primary source distributes.
- Otherwise it is a freely licensed real photograph of the actual subject (CC0, public domain, CC BY, or CC BY-SA, or a US federal agency asset), credited to its author and license.
- The desk never uses publisher or wire-service photographs, and it does not generate cover art.
- The one visual the desk draws itself is a data chart built from figures the article quotes and cites, with the data source named on the chart.
